“Chuck,” “Brownie Charles,” even “Blockhead!” Regardless of the various nicknames he’s been called, the sparsely haired kid in a zig-zag shirt known as Charlie Brown (and his dog Snoopy) have been cartoon staples for over 70 years. Along with the rest of the gang seen in Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip Peanuts, readers have welcomed these wholesome characters from the funny pages into their celebrations of daily life. And for the first time, we can recall all the simple ways these friends have fun year-round, in the form of another family tradition.
