Carlsbad, Calif. – Loyal fans of the classic DuckTales tv show may reminisce about the adventures they shared with “Unca’” Scrooge and his three mischievous nephews on Saturday mornings, but now everybody’s favorite ducks are back with a brand new mission! The Op Games | usaopoly is proud to announce that Munchkin®: Disney DuckTales is now available for players to strike it rich!
This Disney-licensed version of Steve Jackson Games’ best-selling card game transports players to Duckburg to assume the roles of popular feathered friends such as Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and more. Just like the original Munchkin game, your goal is to uncover as much treasure as possible and become a Level 10 GAZILLIONAIRE by recruiting Allies, defeating villains, and collecting helpful items for treasure hunting and combat.
To begin your adventure, “Kick the Door Open” and see what surprises await you on the other side. If you draw a villain such as Bigtime Beagle, Pete,or Magica DeSpell, get ready to fight! One-time bonus cards, powerful Treasure cards, and Allies, plus your Class skills, will help you bring down the bad guys. You may even choose to team up and collaborate with another player for assistance in a fight, but be careful who you enlist! Other players are also allowed to negotiate, collaborate, and even betray you to stockpile their own riches.
If the room is free of villains, either “Loot the Room” and hunt for hidden Items and Treasure, or “Look for Trouble” and battle a villain already in your hand. You must decide whether combat will place you on the leaderboard or send you tail spinning. The first player to achieve Level 10 wins the game and becomes the richest duck in the world!
The game includes 168 cards (each themed to reflect a notable character, item, or event from the nostalgic 80s DuckTales), one six-sided die, six plastic trackers, six Role cards, and Rules.
Munchkin: Disney DuckTales can be purchased today at your favorite local game store soon or from Barnes and Noble right now for $24.95. For more information about the game and other Disney-licensed products from The Op, visit www.TheOp.games.
